We're Diederik and Wouter.

We built the tool we wished we'd had on the sideline.

Diederik plays and coaches field hockey, and races triathlon on the side. Wouter's a sport scientist who coaches hockey, tennis, and athletics — and still competes in athletics himself. Between the two of us, we've spent most of our lives on both sides of the whistle.

Vantic wasn't some spark of insight. It came out of frustration with our own routine.

Every year, before and after the school holidays, we'd run the same battery of tests on our players — same drills, same stopwatch, same spreadsheet. It felt thorough. It looked professional. But when we actually stopped to ask what we did with all those numbers afterward, the honest answer was: nothing. No real view across sessions. No link between a test result and a training decision. We were measuring effort, not managing it.

Sound familiar?

That's the gap Vantic closes. We don't think the answer is more testing — it's making the testing you already do actually mean something: one clear view of every player, every session, and the small daily adjustments that come from it. We believe that's what turns a good team into an elite one — not more data, but data you can actually act on.

We built the tool we wished we'd had on the sideline. If your testing routine feels the same way ours did, we'd like to show you what we built instead.
