One record of who's out, and why.
Every return-to-play decision starts with a status that someone chose on purpose — never guessed, never generated automatically from a test score.
A single, authoritative record
Most teams end up with the truth about who's injured scattered across a group chat, a physio's notebook, and whoever happened to be at training that day. Vantic keeps one record per player instead: what their current status is, what stage of recovery they're in, and who last touched it.
That record shows up everywhere the player's name appears on the platform — their profile, the scoreboard, the squad list a coach pulls up before selection. Nobody has to go looking for it, and nobody has to ask around to find out if it's still current.
Set by people, not inferred from data
A player's status is entered by a coach or medical staff member, not calculated from a test result or a wellness score. A bad training session doesn't quietly flag someone as injured, and a good one doesn't clear them early — that judgment call stays with the humans responsible for it.
Each update is timestamped and attributed to whoever made it. If a player's status changes twice in a week, there's a real record of exactly when and by whom, not a guess reconstructed from memory after the fact.
Where it connects
Injury status isn't sealed off from the rest of the platform. It sits alongside the same player's test history and wellness trend, so a coach reviewing a profile sees the full picture in one place — what the numbers say, what the daily check-ins say, and what medical staff have actually decided — instead of three separate systems that don't talk to each other.
